Mark Humphrey
Mark Humphrey is the Director of Technical Training and Development for Hearth and HVAC products at MH Services CO LLC, bringing more than 30 years of firsthand industry experience across hearth, chimney, gas, and HVAC systems.
He began his career as a chimney sweep and worked extensively with wood and pellet appliances before transitioning into gas appliances as the market evolved. Early in his career, Mark also moved into HVAC, building a broad and practical technical foundation.
Over the years, he has owned and operated multiple wholesale, retail, and installation businesses, giving him firsthand insight into the operational, technical, and workforce challenges faced by technicians and business owners. Mark later joined the National Fireplace Institute (NFI), where he led training and certification development, creating certification exams, study manuals, and continuing education programs. While at NFI, he identified a critical need for hands-on technician training and subsequently acquired a well-known, established training platform from an award-winning instructor.
MH Services CO LLC is an HVAC and Hearth sales, service, and installation company. Working with MH Services allows Mark to align technical training directly with real-world applications, current technologies, and evolving industry challenges.
Mark holds numerous credentials, including Licensed Master Mechanical and Master Pipefitting Contractor, NFI Certified Master Hearth Professional (MHP) and Instructor, CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep, F.I.R.E. Certified Inspector, as well as multiple ACCA HVAC design, duct diagnostics, and EPA refrigeration certifications.
